I took part in this study along with my parents (my sister was a dick and refused to take part, just a fucking blood sample but heck) when Prof Blackwood was my psychiatrist. It was a very long time ago, never thought it would come to any thing!

It's utter bollocks that a "front-hug" could drive you to "sin". Bollocks.
Oh and the gunfire and the sirens to make it more authentic and cool and urban is just horrible and exploitative. Plus their assertion that Jesus didn't front-hug is probably shite too, he washed folk's feet by all accounts, not afraid to get up close and personal! Argh. Sigh, well I didn't get straight to bed last night. I brushed my teeth and went to take out my contacts and the right was compliant but the left wouldn't come and I couldn't find it and it started to get proper sore. I called NHS 24 and they said A&E was the only option 'cos they had the right equipment for eyes. I started crying then. I was being fairly matter of fact and calm about it before. Urgh. Went up to A&E in a taxi and of course the fucking taxi driver knew someone who had fallen asleep drunk and a contact lens had embedded in his BRAIN. Stupid fucker. I ignored him after that. He drove really fucking slow too and it was fifteen quid to get up there. :( It was about the same back. Urgh. By the time I got there I was in a right state and started crying and crying and couldn't even say my name. They saw me straight away 'cos there wasn't any one else there and the nurse had a look but couldn't see it and then the doctor came and got me up on a couch with a light above it and had a good look and found it but it had snapped but he managed to remove the other piece too. He matched them up and he'd got it all out, which was good. Was such a relief, both physically and emotionally. I thought I'd have to go to the eye pavilion but I don't think they do out of hours. I haven't been there since first years uni when I tore my cornea with a fucking contact lens. That was the right one though. The left eye is a bit sore after yesterday night but it'll be fine. I'm waiting on the optician phoning me back and she'll maybe take a wee look.
I'm looking for a good, winter-weight duvet in a double. It can't be a down or feather type affair due to my asthma. I don't have a massive amount of cash to splash. Any recommendations? I don't really understand tog but I gather the more togs the better.

Not done a great deal today, been tidying my bedroom, slowly. Went out to get more laundry detergent and tissues and had some activity at the Mosque (chickpea curry= fine!). Nipped in past the bookshop to squee with David and went home via Finishing Touches, which had a big rubber toad in the window. I went in to ask for one and it turns out it was just part of the window display but I looked pleadingly enough at them that they sold it to me. I promised to give it a good home. It's temporarily staying with nik_strychnine for the moment until I move into Pamela's Awesome Lily-Pond of Wonder, which will be what the new flat will be referred to.

Fucking hell! I've phoned David and let him know and he was amazed! Amazing publicity. He's gonna make sure marketing know. My eye just happened to fall on it when I was drinking my tea this morning.
Damn, I could really do with a night where Nadia isn't clattering about the kitchen. Really. I'm a OCD sufferer that goes crazy with sleep-deprivation. I really was never cut out for flatsharing.

Oh, this isn't pertinent but I thought I'd post it to illustrate a funny anecdote.
When I saw this as a little girl, it really freaked me out 'cos I thought it was a disembodied head singing. Sinead's top matches the background! It used to really upset me for ENTIRELY the wrong reasons!
